Info: Windows' own uninstall utility has been known as a very basic method to uninstall an unwanted app or application in your system. It is quite clear that so-called "Add/Remove" is far from perfect when it comes to clearing out software remains and/or stubborn installations. Well I would like to share some simple yet proven Windows techniques here with you so you can uninstall Nexus (aka, Winstep Nexus Dock) from your own OS. Date: 2016-08-10 - To successfully get rid of the said Nexus, exit all running Winstep related items, from the app to its background processes.
- Note that the app will ask your permission to set it to run with your system, disable that option and hit the Yes button on the following "Exit Nexus" pop-up.
- Check your Start menu, you may find the following "Winstep Translator Helper", right click on it and launch the Uninstall option on the menu.
- Once your own programs list is loaded completely, locate the target item Nexus (version number is 16.6.), press the Enter key or, launch the embedded Uninstall option.
- Hit the Yes button on the "Nexus Uninstall" window below.
- Select the No option only when you want to reuse the Nexus app later.
- Similarly, consider applying the Yes option to the following Nexus Uninstaller info box, - this helps free up your disk space automatically.
- You can simply press the Continue button to save your time.
- keep those shared dll file like msvbvm50.dll temporarily - try erasing 'em manually at a later date.
- Exit the mentioned Uninstall wizard. Try clearing out Winstep's remains after a system reboot on your own.
